The process of creating textile 布ができるまで

宮下織物で織られる布は、
地域と連帯を取ることで
漸く最終的な布に仕上がります。
その連帯は古くから続き、
今では糸を作る「原糸」の工程は、
他の地域で行われていますが、
大きく分けて「撚糸」「染色」
「整経」「製織」「整理」の
５つの工程が今でも宮下織物のある
富士吉田市周辺地域で
行われています。

The textiles woven by Miyashita Orimono are complete
in cooperation with the local community. The connection between Miyashita Orimono and
the local community has a long history. It was during the Edo period that
the community-based division of labor was established. The community is still involved to
this day in the company.Though the process to make original yarn is done in other areas,
five other steps including “twisting yarn” ,“dyeing” ,“warping”, and “regulating”,
are finished in the area around Fujiyoshida where Miyashita Orinomo is located.
